    Khalid graduated from Imperial College London in 2012 and completed his higher speciality training in the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Deanery in 2022. He undertook his post-CCT fellowship at the prestigious Wrightington Hospital. He has extensive teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He twice received the” Trainee Teacher of the Year” award. He is currently serving as a mentor for the Association of Surgeons in Training (ASiT) and the British Hip Society (BHS). He was elected as a Member of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers by The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and teaches at the RCS BSS and CCRiSP courses.

She is an ATLS instructor and acts as faculty for the Royal College of Surgeons as well as on several other regional teaching projects. She is involved in several multicentre research projects, and hopes to inspire trainees to get involved with high quality research from an early stage. Lucy spends her spare time knitting and training as a crew member for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
